Mourning tragic loss

We mourn in shock and dismay the grievous loss of a beloved servant of the Lord, Sister Mary. She who touched the lives of children and parents and all those who had the privilege of her acquaintance will never forget the sweet gentility of her face. We share in the collective grief of her family in Ireland and of her aging mother in that homeland of green splendor.

With painful hearts, in the same breath of sorrow, we pray for the speedy recovery of the Monsignor, Reverend John L. Sheridan, dear friend, who is a light to the Malibu community and beyond, as shepherd of the Christian faith and lover of humanity. He, above all, will miss the angelic presence of Sister Mary who guarded him in saintly devotion as a daughter to the Prince of the Church. May the Lord show him mercy and grace and to all who suffer with him in this tragic hour of anguish. May he return to us in health.

May Sister Mary’s unforgettable smile of child-like purity and starlit eyes, that lit up her face during her sojourn on earth, light up the heavens of eternal life that now embrace her. May her memory be a blessing to the living forever.
