Whether environmentally friendly or holiday themed, there are plenty of events going on during the next few days in Malibu.

Thursday The City of Malibu, Heal the Bay, Malibu High School and other local organizations are sponsoring “A Day Without a Bag” to promote the use of reusable bags instead of single-use plastic bags. Free tote bags will be given away at Ralph’s in Malibu Colony Plaza, 23841 W. Malibu Rd.; Pavillions, 29211 Heathercliff Rd.; Pacific Coast Greens, 22601 Pacific Coast Highway; Banana Republic in Malibu Village Plaza, 3844 Cross Creek Rd.; and in the Cross Creek Road shopping district, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information visit www.malibucity.org.

Thursday night the City of Malibu hosts its holiday party, where participants are encouraged to bring a toy for the “Spark of Love” toy drive, at Malibu City Hall, 23825 Stuart Ranch Rd., at 4 p.m. To RSVP, call 310.456.2489.

The Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station Toy Drive concludes Dec. 16. New, unwrapped toys for children ages one to 16 can be dropped off at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station, 27050 Agoura Rd., until Friday. For more information call 818.878.1808.

St. Nick stops by Saturday morning for the annual Breakfast With Santa event. The holiday breakfast takes place at the Point Dume Marine Science School Auditorium, 6955 Fernhill Dr., at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Tickets cost $5 (each) or $15 (family of four). For more information call 310.317.1364.

For his visit to the Malibu Country Mart Saturday, Santa Claus is bringing his faithful reindeer along too. Santa, Rudolph and the gang, along with strolling carolers, make a stop at the Malibu Country Mart, 3835 Cross Creek Rd., at 12 p.m. For more information visit www.malibucountrymart.com.

On Sunday, Malibu’s Keep Christ in Christmas presents its Annual Christmas Caroling at the Creche, at the corner of PCH and Webb Way, at 4 p.m. For more information visit www.malibukcic.org.
