I was confused about the development agreement, but thanks to some great news coverage and that excellent tract published by the Malibu Township Council, I realize now that this vote on the so-called development deal is, in reality, a vote to legalize gambling. Why would we want to vote on something if we don’t know how it’ll work? Why are we stepping up to the table and playing Three Card Monty with the Malibu Bay Company?. What should we do, just “trust” that it’ll be OK? Does anyone really think that developers have any interest other than themselves? I wouldn’t vote for M if you paid me.
