Bart S. Brodkin, 61, died Jan. 25 from complications from treatment of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Brodkin was born on Oct. 10, 1941. He lived in Malibu for 17 years with his family before retiring to Newport Beach after more than 25 years as an executive with the 7-Up/RC Bottling Company of Southern California.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Thea; mother, Rose; daughters Karen and Amy; grandson, Charlie; and brothers Dennis and Richard. His family recognizes “a courageous fighter who continued fighting to the end. Bart loved life, his family and friends and made every day count.”
Services will be private. Donations may be sent in memory of Bart S. Brodkin to Easterseals, The American Cancer Society or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
