Actor, producer and longtime animal advocate Alison Eastwood, along with Maissa Dauriac, hosted the Eastwood Ranch Foundation’s (ERF) first Animal Welfare & Rescue Fall Garden Party Fundraiser at Malibu Wines on Saturday afternoon. Malibu locals, friends, family and animal advocates came out to enjoy the festivities, which included live entertainment, a silent auction, raffle prizes and more.

Dining on vegetarian fare and sipping on wine from Malibu Wines, guests checked out a variety of pet and people friendly items.

“It means everything to have my family, friends and fellow animal lovers come out and support, because we wouldn’t be able to do the rescue work that we do without them,” Eastwood shared.

Three years ago, Eastwood founded ERF with longtime friend Maissa Dauriac. ERF is a nonprofit, Southern California-based animal welfare and rescue organization. The Fall Garden Party benefited their continual efforts to rescue dogs and cats from high-kill shelters in Southern California, as well as to find the animals permanent homes.

“Our goal is to have our own sanctuary eventually, but for now we predominately rescue in Southern California and support national sanctuaries that we have vetted or been to and we know are great organizations. We support nationally and work locally,” Eastwood said.

Guests of the event sang praises for ERF’s effort to rescue animals.

“Alison … has a huge heart for animals and she rescues and rehabs all these puppies and kittens and finds them amazing homes … I really don’t know anyone else in the world that does the amount of work that she does and has such a huge heart for rescue and rehabilitating animals,” actress, model, and Peace 4 Animals founder Katie Cleary shared.

The location selected for the event has history for Eastwood. She kept her horses on the Semlers property for many years and thought it would be a great place to host the fundraiser.

“The Semlers have always been good to me, I’ve known them for many years,” Eastwood shared. “They are extremely kind and generous. It seemed appropriate to ask them if they would want to participate in this cause and they, of course, said yes, and I was thrilled to partner up with them to do this hopefully annual fundraiser.” Eastwood said that other sponsors for the event included John Paul Pet, Westime, PetCube, Nutri Source, KLN, Olio Pizzeria and Olio E Limone Ristorante.

This star-studded guest list included Alison’s father — actor, director and producer Clint Eastwood.

“He’s very proud of me,” she shared. “It means everything to me that he supports me because he’s somebody that has such an impact on people. When he shows up and wants to get kisses from a Chihuahua puppy, people look up to him— when he shows up and he’s all smiles and lets a puppy lick his face, well, that’s the best advertising for rescue animals ever,” Alison said with a smile.
