Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies Ed Harrold (left) and Chris Chavez were recognized by Mayor Jeff Jennings last week on Tuesday at the City Council meeting for saving the life of firefighter Dave Wise. The off-duty firefighter’s vehicle was hit by a truck last month on Pacific Coast Highway at the intersection with Kanan Dume Road, and caught fire. The deputies pulled the injured Wise out of the vehicle.
