With temperatures continuing to stay high this weekend, Malibu traffic is also set to heat up with the Nautica Malibu Triathlon.

Those planning on heading to the beach this weekend to enjoy the sunny weather should make sure to leave some time for traffic delays along the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) in west Malibu during the Nautica Malibu Triathlon. The triathlon will take place on Sat., Sept. 7 and Sunday, Sept. 8 with one north- and southbound lane closed along the PCH between 5 a.m. and 12 p.m. on both days.

The weather forecast shows a clear, sunny weekend ahead for Malibu. Friday night is expected to be clear with a low around 68 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday morning will start out sunny with temperatures rising to a high of 86 degrees in the afternoon. Clear skies will continue into Saturday night with a low around 66 degrees.

Sunday is expected to be sunny with a high of 84 degrees with temperatures dropping to a low around 66 at night.
