The following crimes were reported in Malibu between May 7 and May 11:

5/7

– A grand theft occurred at Surfrider Beach. Stolen items included a black suitcase ($300), HP laptop ($2,000), two computer hard drives ($400), clothes, Nokia cell phone ($200), two French passports ($400), a French international drivers license ($100) and prescription glasses ($4,000).

5/9

– Another grand theft took place on Malibu Road where a 5×100-foot cable roll ($1,000) and a 5×25-foot cable roll ($1,000) were stolen. 

5/11

– A car at Paradise Cove was dented and scratched.

– A burglary transpired at the Trancas lifeguard tower. First aid supplies were stolen along with a padlock being damaged and a wood chair/metal sign burned.Â
