Malibu Film Society’s second annual community wide Academy Awards® viewing party will take place this Sunday, Feb. 27, from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30p.m. at the Malibu Screening Room, located at 24855 Pacific Coast Highway (in the Malibu Jewish
Center and Synagogue complex just up the coast from Pepperdine University).
The red carpet, black tie-optional event features the live broadcast on a 144-square-foot, high definition screen, a cocktail party, a seated dinner catered by Monrose (with special desserts provided by ChocolateBox Café), fashion shows and much more. There will be an Oscar® winners prediction contest, along with an ongoing prize raffle throughout the entire evening. Prizes donated this year include a bronze statue by Danielle Anjou Sculpture, jewelry and gift certificates from Beachcomber Café, Malibu Oasis Salon, Moonshadows restaurant, The Sunset Restaurant and many others.
