Rudy James Podrat died Sept. 9 at his Malibu home.
Podrat was a lover of horses and friends and family said he was known for his humor and courage, and for being “mischievous with a heart.”
Podrat is survived by his wife, Chimen; mother, Elaine Kramer; brother, Gary; and sister, Madelyn. His father, Irving, preceded him in death.
A memorial service will take place on Sept. 19 at 11 a.m. at the Purple Hills Ranch. Donations can be made in Podrat’s memory to the United Pegasus Foundation, 120 South First Ave., Arcadia, CA 91006
