Literally everyone we have talked with about this road closure is against it. Either from the perspective of drivers who get caught up in the snarled traffic or by Civic Center and Cross Creek merchants who have already noticed a decline in their business resulting from the lack of ease to access their businesses caused by the road closure. The City Council needs to be made aware of this opposition and get the road re-opened without any further delay. To this end, we are asking all residents of Malibu who oppose this road closure to send their name and contact info (phone, fax or e-mail) along with any comments they would like to include to Reopencivicctr@aol.com. These e-mails will be given to the City Council in an effort to reopen the road and alleviate the burdensome added traffic on PCH, Webb Way, Cross Creek and Malibu Canyon resulting from the closure. As it stands now, it is simply an accident waiting to happen.
