Three men were airlifted from Malibu early Saturday morning with mild to critical injuries after their car plunged 200 feet off of Kanan Dume Road, according to the Malibu Search and Rescue Team.
The patients, all age 20, are from Whittier and Ontario. The crash was reported after midnight and required multiple helicopters to hover above the crash scene as the patients were packaged for transport to local hospitals. One of the men was in critical condition, another suffered a broken leg and the third had minor injuries.
Their car reportedly flipped multiple times as it fell and appeared unrecognizable in photos from the scene.
