Virginia Dodge, a resident of Malibu since 1991, died March 29. She was 86.
Dodge moved to the Point Dume Club in 1991 after the death of Franklin, her husband of 50 years.

Most recently, Dodge took up creative writing, where she drew upon her memories of growing up in a large New York family during the Depression and decades as a Navy wife.
Dodge is survived by her son, Mark, daughter-in-law Karn, kittens Simon and Mandy, many siblings, nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial bequests can be sent to Best Friends Catnippers, P.O. Box 55663, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403.
