Closing the Civic Center Way road in order to insure school safety is not only ridiculous but gives one pause as to the kind of dumb things occupying the minds of those in charge. My child has attended OLM for three years and in that time there has never been a safety issue with regard to traffic flow. I pull in and out of her school every day, twice a day, with little or no congestion issues. Wouldn’t I be the first one to jump on the bandwagon if I had experienced some type of danger to my daughter or even thought something might happen? I’m one of the more nervous parents I know and I must say this is silly and a waste of everyone’s time. Why not focus on something else, like landscaping PCH between Civic Center and John Tyler? Now that would not only enhance the community but also might give us a reason to smile and be glad.
