Eastbound PCH lanes scheduled for overnight closure
The California Department of Transportation will close two lanes on eastbound Pacific Coast Highway between Big Rock Drive and Pena Canyon Bridge from 10 p.m. until tomorrow at 5 a.m. Eastbound traffic will use one lane in the center divider; westbound traffic will not be affected, according to Calrtans.
The purpose of the closure, according to a Caltrans press release, is to allow final paving of the reconstructed roadway that was damaged in early December when a water main broke, creating a large sinkhole.
