It certainly is gratifying to read all the letters protesting the proposed camping by the mountains conservancy. I am sure that many have already written these concerns to the Coastal Commission, the Governor, National Park Service and other agencies and organizations. Also to Mr. Garcia at Project City who has been “brainwashed” to look at the camping protests as refusal for access rather than a public safety issue.
Although writing a Letter to the Editor may be informative and helpful (and sometimes entertaining), the power of the people needs to be manifested as a continuum of letters written to the necessary people who have the voting power. These letters can be followed by phone calls and e-mails. With unity we certainly can defeat this proposal.
