The Oaks Christian School varsity football team, which includes Malibu locals, is preparing to participate in the Honor Bowl on Sept. 7 at Oceanside High School to support military veterans. Local residents who will help the Lions take on Upland High School at the tournament include back-up quarterback Holden Thomas, lineman Chris Weirick and alternate kicker Jimmy Dorn.Â
