Scores of Malibuites participated in a worldwide paddle-out in solidarity with Black Lives Matter on Friday, June 5. Similar observances took place at beaches in Virginia, Hawaii, North Carolina, Florida and Sydney, Australia, among other locations, including many in California. KBUU News called it the “biggest political demonstration here in years.”
