On behalf of the Malibu Green Machine, I extend a huge thank you to the City Council for their generous $50,000 grant for our median enhancement project on Pacific Coast Highway.
This important community project, which begins at Cross Creek Road and extends to Malibu Canyon Road, features a landscaped median that will benefit every homeowner and every business. Our budget is $1.5 million, and we’re about halfway there. Our goal is to complete the funding, begin construction December-January and finish before summer, 2008.
The City Council has done the right thing by endorsing this project and contributing funds. If others in the community think, as we do, that PCH in Malibu is a source of public disgrace rather than civic pride, this is your chance to join our efforts.
