Tell me, Mr. Turkey,
Don’t you feel afraid
When you hear us talking
About the plans we’ve made?
Can’t you hear us telling
How we’re going to eat
Cranberries and stuffing
With our turkey meat?
Turkey, heed my warning
Better fly away
Or you will be sorry
On Thanksgiving Day.
Malibuite, I heard your warning
About Thanksgiving Day
Fear I not it is your City Council
That had better fly away.
Can’t they hear your elders
Telling the needs of Seniors gray
Or can’t they heed parents yelling
Our kids lack a safe site to play.
So thank you for your forewarning
But on Thanksgiving I shall stay
For it is not on me there will be dining
Come next Election Day.
