California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will intermittently close Topanga Canyon Boulevard, from Mulholland Drive to Pacific Coast Highway Thursday, Aug. 6 through Monday, Aug. 10, according to a release by the City of Malibu Emergency Services.
The closures will occur as follows (with closures on Sunday and Monday only if necessary):
- Thursday, August 6: 8 p.m. – 6 a.m.
- Friday, August 7: 8 p.m. – 8 a.m.
- Saturday, August 8: 10 p.m. – 8 a.m.
- Sunday, August 9: 10 p.m. – 6 a.m.
- Monday, August 10: 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
According to the alert, the closures will allow Caltrans crew members to complete a safety enhancement project. Caltrans crews will be installing new in-road reflectors, re-striping lanes and grinding a groove along the stripe line.
California Highway Patrol will be on duty and flaggers will be in place, but motorists should prepare for delays.
