The Malibu Library held a Winter Wonderland Party, sponsored by Friends of Malibu Public Library, on Friday afternoon. Children arrived to find the library magically decorated in sparking blues and whites, themed after Disney’s film “Frozen.” The celebration also marked one of the last events for children’s librarian Leena Walker, who is transferring to La Crescenta Library. Walker looks forward to being closer to home, but has loved being part of the Malibu community.
“It was a dream fulfilled to work at the Malibu Library. As a child, I spent my weekends and summers in Malibu and it was very special for me to return and to give back to the community and the next generation of kids. My hope was to bring a love for reading, creativity, friendship, and laughter.”
