A bicyclist walked away unscathed Monday after his bike crashed into a parked car on Pacific Coast Highway and Encinal Canyon Road, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials.
Shortly after 11:30 a.m., the male cyclist apparently hit the car while traveling eastbound on PCH and called authorities for help by his own accord, said Lt. James Royal of the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station. No one was in the parked car at the time of the collision and traffic was not affected.
After the fire department arrived on scene, the cyclist said he was OK but asked to be transported to his car, which was parked in the area. He told officials he would return to the scene of the collision, but as of 12:20 p.m., he had not returned.
“He hasn’t shown up yet,” Royal said. “It happens.”
