Community gathering and interfaith service to support fire victims

A community gathering to support fire victims will take place on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Bluffs Park

This will be an opportunity to support and reconnect with your neighbors who have experienced a great loss from the recent fires. Fire victims and those who support them are encouraged to attend this gathering. Freebies for fire survivors and refreshments will also be available.

At 1 p.m., an interfaith prayer service with all the Malibu clergy will take place.

Bluffs Park is also the location of the Local Assistance Center, where victims can speak with representatives from FEMA, U.S. Small Business Administration, California Office of Emergency Services, Los Angeles County Building and Safety, Department of Motor Vehicles, Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, Los Angeles County Assessor’s Office, Social Services and several private insurance companies.

The event will take place weather permitting. For more information, call 310.589.7020 or 310.435.7679.
