Last week, we were forced to evacuate our home on Rambla Vista due to the imminent danger from a retaining wall which was about to collapse. I am an 87-year-old widow who is not in good health so this order to evacuate was more than a minor inconvenience.
I would like to commend the City of Malibu on its timely response to this matter and name two individuals who were particularly helpful. Richard Calvin and Craig George were on site every day, made a point of continually updating my daughter, Carol, and were very sensitive to the hardship this evacuation created.
I appreciated the efficient handling of the situation and their personal concern.
