Bank of Books held a special story time for children on Saturday with guest reader Malibu Mayor Skylar Peak. Peak, the youngest mayor in Malibu history, read “The Very Silly Mayor” by Tom Tomorrow.
“The children were laughing. It was truly a silly book!” Peak said.
After the story, Peak answered questions, including “Are you a Silly Mayor?” Peak’s response was a definite,”Yes!”
Peak hopes children will get involved in politics early.
“Get involved and be an active participant in your community…and enjoy books,” he said.
