School board blast

How misguided is our Board of Education when they have nothing better to do but to debate the Arizona immigration law and vote to impose an economic boycott? Besides the fact that the Arizona law is not racial profiling and the radical left continues to portray it as such (even after the original law was amended), there are questions the public should be asking the board.

What business is it of yours? Just because you have liberal views that do not align with another place in America, where do you draw the line with this personal vendetta, using the schools and children to spew your venom? Will you vote to boycott Texas because you oppose capital punishment? How about a boycott against the entire Midwest since they likely have loose gun laws you don’t approve of?

What right do you have to represent the people of the school district with an opinion when most disagree with you? The vast majority of Americans and Californians favor the Arizona law. You have no right to make a statement so out of line with your constituents.

Why don’t you just focus on providing good schools and balanced budgets, something you are failing so miserably?

I say there should be a boycott against the SMMUSD. Now that we have successfully kept our money in our own hands and away from these warped “educators” by killing Measure A, do not contribute anything privately to this board, particularly the campaign to “Save our Schools.” I have already heard of people cancelling their pledges to “Save our Schools,” boycotting the district while it boycotts Arizona.

The way to save our schools? Get rid of these radical board members who are more concerned about personal political statements than solving our educational challenges.
