Patrick Dempsey's home was sold over listing price in just under a month.

Patrick Dempsey sold his home in western Malibu for $15 million after having it on the market just over a month, reports the Wall Street Journal.

The home, designed by architect Frank Gehry, had multiple bidders, but the Malibu retreat went to a family who intends to make it their primary residence. Dr. McDreamy’s estate consists of “5,500 square feet and sits on about three acres, on grounds that include a pool, raised garden beds, an outdoor kitchen, large lawn and enclosures,” reads the Wall Street Journal. Dempsey used the space for his “collection of farm animals, including goats, rabbits, chickens and pigs.”

With high ceilings, both mountain and ocean views, and a detached spa, the home is a remote retreat. The home boasts a welcoming space for the children, with an open yard for sports and play, as well as a refined outdoor entertaining space.

Dempsey, who filed for divorce in January, purchased the home with his wife, Jillian, in 2009 for $7 million.
