Webster Elementary School kindergarten teacher Jessica Hernandez was honored with the 2008 Achievement in Education Award earlier this month by the Malibu Optimist Club. Hernandez has taught kindergarten at Webster for 18 years.
“Jessica is one of those rare individuals who seem to have been put on earth to teach young children,” Webster Principal Phil Cott said. “She is knowledgeable about child development, a master of creative and effective instructional practices, and above all, is eternally patient and empathetic. Every child should have a kindergarten teacher like her.”
