Two members of the Pepperdine men’s golf team — freshman Sahith Theegala and senior Frederick Wedel — finished within the top 20 at the 3M Augusta Invitational last weekend, April 2 and 3, at the par-72 Forest Hills Golf Club.
The No. 38 Waves finished the tournament 10th overall, finishing behind seven teams ranked in Golfstat’s top 44, including three of the top four teams in the country.
Theegala tied for 13th place with a three-under 213 (67-72-74), and led the field in eagles with a total of three. Wedel tied for 16th with a 2-under 214 (68-73-73) to land him his 19th career top-20 finish at Pepperdine.
The Waves will travel to Santa Cruz for the Western Intercollegiate on April 11-13 before beginning West Coast Conference Championships.
