Pepperdine’s men’s tennis team is predicted to finish No. 1 in the conference for men’s tennis, according to the WCC coaches poll.
Seniors Alex Sarkissian and David Sofaer were also selected for the All-WCC Preseason team and earned spots in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association singles rankings. Sarkissian comes in at No. 33 and holds the top spot in the lineup for the Waves. Sofaer places at No. 58 and is currently number two in the school’s lineup.
Ranked 12th in the nation overall, the Waves have 40 West Coast Conference Tournament titles and have not lost a league tournament since 1990. Pepperdine goes on the road to take on No. 24 Tulsa this Wednesday. The Waves are currently 2-1 overall to kick off the season.Â
