DAR installs new officers and celebrates new arrival

The local chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution met at the Malibu home of Bonnie Bates on June 5 to install its officers for 2010-2012 and to celebrate the arrival of its newest DAR baby, 8-week-old James Nathan Anderson.

DAR chapter officers for 2010-2012 are First Vice Regent Kim Lucas, Second Vice Regent Kathy Merrill, Second Vice Regent Ann DeMartini, Chaplain Mary Lynn Martin, Recording Secretary Martha Densmore, Corresponding Secretary Bonnie Bates, Treasurer Carol Jackson, Registrar Annette Keller, Historian Anne Kaufman, Librarian Betty Lucas and Parliamentarian Marj Dukatz. Outgoing Regent Annette Keller was named Honorary Regent.

Special guest Nathan is the son of DAR member Jennifer Young Anderson and U.S. Air Force Senior Airman James Ryan Anderson, who is deployed in England where the family will soon reunite.
