The 12th class of Malibu High School graduated June 21. Commencement ceremonies took place at the high school’s amphitheater, which was full with parents, relatives and friends of the 172 graduates. The Malibu High School Orchestra performed “Pomp and Circumstance Opus 39 No. 1” during the graduate processional. Following a greeting by Principal Mark Kelly, a welcome address by graduates Student Body President Skylar Cozen and Senior Class President Alexander Purewal and the Pledge of Allegiance, the high school chamber singers performed the “Star Spangled Banner.” See pages 13 and 14 for more photos and The Malibu Times Citizenship Awards.
