The Malibu Film Society (MFS) hosted its fifth annual Red Carpet Awards Night Dinner Gala at the Malibu Jewish Center & Synagogue on Sunday night.

Attendees dressed in gowns and suits and were greeted with a glass of champagne before walking down the red carpet to join the party. The festivities included appetizers, a sit down dinner catered by Chef Ruth Hurwitz of Tarte Catering, an open bar, raffles, silent auction and more. MFS’ “Oscar Gala” has grown rapidly in the last five years with the support of the Malibu community.

Executive Director Scott Tallal said, “It was an amazing year filled with incredible movies, and we’re delighted we were able to bring them to Malibu. We’re thrilled that all of the studios are letting us show their top contenders during awards season. That said, none of this would have happened without all of the wonderful support we’ve received from the community.” MFS volunteer board members worked hard to create an evening of glitz, glamour and gaiety to celebrate the 86th Academy Awards.
