The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for areas of the Southern California coast, including Malibu, this morning. The advisory warns that winds of at least 35 miles per hour are expected. Drivers are urged to be extra cautious on the road, especially those driving trucks, buses or recreational vehicles. Winds are expected to weaken by later this afternoon, but gusts may remain throughout tomorrow and the weekend.
Road construction planned
Road construction is scheduled to begin on Malibu Canyon Road on Nov. 13 between the hours of 6 p.m. and 4 a.m. Drivers are instructed to expect delays of at least 20 minutes during construction.
