I am planning to move over here from the beautiful country Switzerland. I am a bit scared of how to integrate to the social life and make friends etc. Any advice? Thanks.

Who out there remembers the Coloney Cool Cats, and Malibu Surfing Assoc. MSA. And Willie Hornor and Denney Door, and Dave MeCee, in the old 1970-1980. Malibu cayon whey jumping off the pipe was somthing. I dove off the cliff above it. About 35 foot drop into a small hole. I live in Redding, CA. But my heart in still on the Point, and fifteen miles in both direction. Those were the days when Steve Mcqeen crused his 53 Mercury, and helped motorcycle riders alongside the road. And now Bobby Johnson is still holding down the fort. Long live the heart of those who lived its beaches and cayons, and played fast ball on the upper field on Sunday's-at Zuma.

Hi Malibu, I'll be coming back in March from Albuquerque to get some ocean air. I'm looking forward to seeing my friends and eating something without green chile in it.

I'm looking for a friend who grew up in Malibu - Clarice Christiansen, married Randall Fox in the early 1980's. She is around age 54. Last known to be living in France in the early 90's; haven't heard from her since. Thanks for any help!

I lived in Maliub at Point Dume from 75-81 coming from Oklahoma and building homes and doing other contruction jobs there! You would not believe all the stories I could tell you and people I met there to include Sherry Satriano and her entire talented family! I remember the first time I talked to Goldie Hawn who came in the Dume Room to let her 3 yr old use the bathroom (Kate Hudson) and she pinched my cheek! The time someone tapped me on the shoulder and I turned around to see Martin Sheen home from filming Apocolypse who Charlie had sent to give me box seat tickets to watch Fernando Pitch! The Dume Room was my home were I could go to be with good people and watch games on TV in a family atmosphere of BIG TIME movie stars who would drop in nightly to be with just regular good ole folks! You're more than welcome to contact me if you'd like!

I just bumped into Malibu Times and your coverage of the recent fires. From the South, Malibu represents the best/ideals of California living and sorry you took a hit with the wild fires. Please send us some rain here in Georgia. Whatever happened to "It's a Rainy Night in Georgia?" Remember a good road trip I took into California: I drove down the mountain from Cleveland National Forest at 2 a.m. and tumble weeds were blowing across the road. I was picking up "Wolf Man Jack" and his sounds out of Mexico on my VW AM. Stayed in Santa Barbara but missed Malibu. I wonder if the pretty beach stones are still at Moon Stone Beach south of SF. Hope to see Pepperdine's tennis team at NCAAs in Athens, GA later in 08. regards.

Thank you Malibu Times for your news flash coverage of the fires. We live on Zumirez but are out of the state for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Your coverage of the fast changing events were great and a big help to us long distance. Good Job Well Done.

I watch as so many of your lives have been negatively affected by the common cycles of nature. I struggle to find then funding to bring an innovative patented building technology to market that would not only provide fire resistant housing, but also would reduce the massive amounts of carbon emissions left by the construction industry in general. Young inventors without funding are stifled by the run away train of big business; progress is slow and people's lives are destroyed. So many people claim to care, but are too busy when it comes to actually doing something that truly implements change. As Americans we have the gift to think outside of the box, pursue capitalism that cares, promote the new, the thoughtfull and, for the long run, the neccessary changes this world so desperately needs. It's time to build smart, build green and build safe. Lives are worth our effort. Together we have the power to make a difference.
